Connecting plant reality
with IT direction

Business analysis across complex manufacturing environments: understanding the present, shaping the target landscape and bringing people into the decisions that connect them.

The thread across my work

A cross-functional
perspective

A plant visit, a workshop and an application roadmap reveal different parts of the same picture. My work connects them.

01

Understand the landscape

Strategic AS-IS and TO-BE analysis across hundreds of applications, established integrations and technical debt. Working with architects, I help clarify which system layers should own which functionality — and how a five-to-seven-year roadmap can connect the current and target states.

02

Bring the voices together

An operator, a quality specialist, a logistics expert and an IT architect can describe the same process in different terms. I facilitate multicultural workshops and plant assessments that bring these perspectives together, from the shopfloor to department heads and division representatives.

03

Make the detail useful

I connect operational needs with requirements and decision-support analysis. Process maps at different levels of detail, including BPMN, help explain dependencies, exceptions and the consequences of a proposed change.

ZF

Production IT Solution Analyst

Connecting local production needs with a global IT direction.

My work at ZF brings together plant-level requirements, production IT architecture and the strategic application portfolio. I support decisions about how existing environments should evolve, in close cooperation with IT architects and cross-functional teams.

Understanding the plant and its systems
I support and lead plant assessments, mapping architecture and connectivity across shopfloor, SCADA, MES, ERP and analytics. The analysis connects processes and operational needs with the applications and interfaces that support them.
Defining the target and the way forward
Working with architects, I help clarify solution fit and the allocation of functionality across system layers. Requirements engineering, cost estimates and decision-support analyses inform implementation roadmaps for changes across locations, aligned with global IT strategy.
Facilitating agreement across perspectives
I gather and consolidate requirements through plant visits and multicultural workshops, engaging operators, local experts, department heads, plant leadership and division representatives. Collaboration with quality, logistics, SAP master data and connectivity specialists helps expose dependencies that no single team sees alone.
Improving how analysis is done
I coordinate focus teams within the Center of Excellence and co-create workshops and templates for requirements collection, project classification and documentation. I also contribute to innovation initiatives by evaluating technologies for potential strategic use in production IT.

Portos

Business Analyst

Turning operational needs into usable systems and better processes.

At Portos, my work connected business analysis, production improvement and collaboration with IT solution providers. I worked across paint shops, foundry and subassembly, combining process knowledge with analytical and user-centred design methods.

Choosing and shaping systems
I analysed and compared offers from ERP, MES and CMMS providers, maintained cooperation with SCADA suppliers and coordinated implementation and integration activities. Using UX and Service Design principles, I designed intuitive MES screens and complete data flows around users’ needs.
Making performance and changes visible
I developed reporting tools for OEE, efficiency and productivity, supporting continuous improvement and preventive maintenance. I also co-created a system for documenting part-number changes in line with PLM, improving traceability.
Improving operations across functions
Working with IT, quality, laboratory, warehouse and planning teams, I contributed to process stabilisation, automation and robotics projects, shopfloor layouts, warehouse processes and waste management. Additional work included internal documentation, service reports and improvements to the remuneration system.
Developing people and sharing knowledge
I supported employee training, competency matrices and development plans, and helped build university partnerships and organise student internships. This work connected organisational development with the practical needs of production.
